2005-07 Precon Championships: Make Your Predictions!
The opening round of exciting 2005-07 Precon Playoff action is coming up this weekend, and it’s time to get your predictions in. Up for grabs are the first four games of the Nagle Division, which are as follows:
Think you can pick the winners? Remember, each correct guess is worth 1 point, and from last season’s experience we know every point counts! To submit your picks, simply leave a comment on this article- we’ll take care of the rest.

All posted predictions up until the moment the Nagle Division’s first round matches are posted (this Sunday) will be accepted. So pull out the racing forms, sharpen those pencils, and let us know in the comments which decks will win in these first four matchups. Good luck!

My brother-in-law got really into Magic last year, and he got the crazy idea to make a ton of decks, then have a tourney of his own with just those decks. He made (brace for it) 128 different, unique decks. There are combo decks, weenie decks, burn decks, discard decks, control decks, card draw decks, life gain decks… He made a bracket for it, and let friends and family members fill it out (I think he had to use 6 pt. type, haha). It’s huge and it’s going to take us forever to play all the games…
And yet, all that tourney madness somehow still can’t stop me from getting excited for this tourney. Go figure, I’m a tourney junkie I guess. 🙂 Here are my picks:

1. Hope’s Crusaders- Charge of the Boros is going to dismantle itself against Hope’s Crusaders with that radiance effect working against it.
2. Unraveling Mind- Simic Mutology is a weak sauce deck that I own. Decent art, fun concept. Not an effective deck.
3. Rebels Unite- I own Izzet and it is a useless deck. Cool art, fun to play, it never wins. Not even when I put in more Wee Dragonauts.
4. World Aflame- Stone Rain and Demolish? Are you kidding me? This one could go all the way.
Game 1: Hope’s Crusaders its just better
Game 2:Unraveling Mind graft is fun but it just is not nearly as good as this one
Game 3:Rebels Unite rebels are just awesome
Game 4:Endless March going to be an interesting match but i’m just going to trust my gut
Gah! I almost missed this. Anyway:

My gut got me the overall win last time, so no going against it now.
1) Hope’s Crusaders. I just love knights!
2) Unraveling Mind. If the engine start it’s a really efficient deck.
3) Rebels Unite. Do you noticed I really like Time Spiral block?
4) Endless March. I just don’t feel like a 40 card deck as a challenged against a full 60 one.
