Welcome to another installment of the most popular (and to my knowledge only) crowdsourcing precon deck tinkering advice column on the internet! Today we’re back with an interesting twist courtesy of Triumph: block constructed! Here’s what he had to say…
Welcome to another installment of Whispers of the Muse, our occasional deckbuilding series devoted to ‘crowdsourcing’ improvements on a preconstructed deck. We present a deck idea submitted by a reader, then turn it over to you for guidance and improvements!
Welcome back to another installment of Whispers of the Muse, our occasional series where a reader asks for deckbuilding assistance from the Lament community! Today’s deck comes by way of Benjamin M, and he’s asked us to put our Modern hats on this time around.
Although Innistrad block is now gone, it is far from forgotten! While many of its cards continue to see constructed competitive play, casual players too are using the flavourful designs from the sets to spur their own creative deckbuilding. Today’s Whispers of the Muse comes from just such an environment.
It’s that time again! Time for you, the readers, to lend your voice and expertise towards tuning a fellow reader’s preconstructed deck in our occasional deck improvement series. Today’s submission comes to us by way of Peter C, who is taking the scalpel to Magic 2013’s Wild Rush.
Fresh off the success of our recent Depths of Power piece, another reader has come forward with a precon deck that they’d like to get some extra mileage out of. And so, welcome to the next installment of Whispers of the Muse!
Thanks to everyone who entered our recent giveaway, helping two of our readers (Steve and Eduard) fine-tune the Depths of Power Intro Pack from Magic 2013. It was a tremendous success, with both getting a great deal of coaching and suggestion from many of you.
Magic 2013 brought some interesting Intro Pack decks our way, and players from all over have enjoyed cracking them open, tinkering under the hood, and seeing what they can come up with! One of the most exciting options for meddling about has been the instant-and-sorcery-heavy Depths of Power, fueled by Talrand, Sky Summoner.
Welcome back to another installment of Whispers of the Muse, our occasional deckbuilding series that takes a reader-submitted deck, then turns it over to the community to tweak and modify! Today’s submission is a timely one, as Duel Decks: Venser vs Koth was only recently released. Werekill has been poring over it, sensing that there were improvements to be made but not quite sure where to begin.
One of the great things about Intro Pack decks is how well they lend themselves to some rudimentary deckbuilding. Our Whispers of the Muse feature is dedicated to precisely that! With a deck idea submitted by a reader, we turn to the preconstructed community to offer ideas and suggestions on how to improve the deck. Today we return to Innistrad, with the Green/White Human tribal offering, Repel the Dark.
