Aside from a brief revisit with the upcoming Strength of Selesnya Event Deck, this is our last review for Dragon’s Maze and, indeed, all of Return to Ravnica block. Can the Gruul send us out on a high?
Whispers of the Muse: Benjamin M’s “Charge of the Boros”
Welcome to another installment of Whispers of the Muse, our occasional deckbuilding series devoted to ‘crowdsourcing’ improvements on a preconstructed deck. We present a deck idea submitted by a reader, then turn it over to you for guidance and improvements!

Dragon’s Maze: Gruul Siege Review (Part 1 of 2)
When we began our coverage of Return to Ravnica, we focused on a number of themes and mechanics that gave the set a sense of cohesion from the original to the latest iteration. One of the greatest of these wasn’t a particular mechanic so much as it was a much more fundamental innovation- the very guild system itself.
Dragon’s Maze Meddlings and a New Giveaway!
Hey folks! May of you may recall the series of Meddlings I’ve written for Gathering Magic, first one per set and starting with Return to Ravnica an article for every deck. Dragon’s Maze: Orzhov Power Review (Part 1 of 2)
As we discussed n our last review, with the guild mechanics all making an encore performance there wasn’t a great deal of room for mechanical innovation. While fuse was able to strike a balance between the limitations of the set’s design space and the need for a new mechanic to help ‘sell the set,’ it wasn’t the only new innovation to the set- just the most obvious one.
2007-2008 Precon Championships: Turian Division (Part 1 of 2)
Welcome to the opening day of Forsythe Conference action! While the Preconstructed Championships are well underway, we’ve thus far been watching the Rosewater Conference unfold. Now, while Evincar’s Tyranny from Tenth Edition rests up for the battle against the Goblins from Duel Decks: Elves vs Goblins to decide which of the two is going to the Grand Final, we turn our attention to the other half of the field.
