News: Ertai’s Lament’s Jay on Monday Night Magic!

by Dredd77

You might have read it somewhere else, but you heard it here first! That’s right, Jay is a guest co-host on this week’s edition of the Monday Night Magic podcast. After Intro Packs took a beating on the air last week, Jay made sure to mount an impassioned defense and give them their due. Can he convince the other hosts to give them a second look? Or is he greeted with the sound of crickets chirping?

Give it a listen and find out!

I am very happy that you were on this past episode of MNM. I haven’t heard of your website but i do now. I was almost yelling at my phone listening to that episode because of the things that where being said.

Now that my son is old enough to play Magic, i use these as the playing field for us. I will pick a set, and he gets to chose a deck and then i pick one, then we play.

What you said on the pod cast is what I have wanted to say but couldn’t express. I have disagreed with their assessment of Intro decks in the past. THANK YOU!!!

Glad you enjoyed it, Scott, and nice to hear from another precon fan! It’s funny, because I did the same thing on that earlier episode. I’d been told by Chewie that he had some nice things to say about Ertai’s Lament, so the last thing I expected was to have to listen to our own raison d’etre getting trashed first! Much credit to the lads for inviting me on after I sent them a wee tweet giving them a little nudge about it.

And yes, precons with kids is top-notch. My 13-year-old contributes to the playtesting here, and the 10-year-old is already eager to get his turn at the table. Great stuff!
