Which is why in part I refuse to call this a bad product. One gripe I do have is the Wall of Denial. Unlike KvD, the Silver Knight lacked flying, so at least the dragon deck could just fly over it and had a colorless answer. Here, the Wall is going to be a significant speed bump for Koth's ground game. Does Koth have anything to take it down? I don't recall any.

[+] It is impressive how much the PWer syncs with the deck. Each ability perfectly connects with one or more parts of the deck.

[+] So much fun because it is extremely variable. There are so many things to learn about what you can do with his tricks the more you play with his deck.

[-] Some card choices are too weak: SSeacliff rarely does anything; some of the cards cost too much mana for how little they affect the game; SPassage is usually a Fog; and Venser never has the time/timing, mana, or need to use Overrule.

Many times, that WoDenial showing up is the difference between who wins this DD actually. It's amazing how well it can blunt many of Koth's aggressive advances.

People underestimate the card filtering, if Venser finds a spot to hold and get enough time, it's ridiculous how much card choice he gets to sift through.

The decks are very specifically balanced, and that's not always easy, especially when PWers sync up with the right deck. There's many easy ways for whoever gets that PWer first to simply run away with it if these aren't designed right.

Mulldrifter is a little too powerful for Koth to manage. Even if you get rid of it immediately, it still is a Divination to add more silliness to the mix. If not answered immediately... Venser rides it all the way to the end.

It's going to be in the running for sure. If it had something like Sleep to abuse the Angel, I'd even put money on it. As is, it has a ton of scry and drawing. That right there even with its removal suite is going to make it huge. Not to mention if that wall drops.

My mind is slowly changing about this DD. Let's see if the Koth review pushes it over the line. It took me reading the PvC reviews to grab those decks. Now, the Phyrexian is one of my favorites, while the Coalition is like a pet project I toy with once in a while. Sadly my EDH decks have stolen a few of its cards like Kahamal (Originally came with the Trample Archenemy deck).

I was really interested in this product, but when I saw decklists, I was quite dissapointed. Venser's deck looks okay, but it could be much better with Reveillark as one of the rares (don't know which rare would it replace - they're all pretty good) and a pair of Mulldrifters. I also like inclusion of Galepowder mage.
Koth's deck on the other hand is just one big letdown. It tries to play part Big Red, part Red Deck Wins, but it fails at both. Wizards kinda screwed up with this one.
